Laura King, Librettist, Lyricist

Laura King has been writing since she read Harriet the Spy in the fourth grade. Most of her theatrical experience is in costuming, including I Do! I Do!, Turn a Blind Eye, and Simcha! with Theater 40 in Los Angeles, and It’s Just a Play, and The Addams Family Musical in McMinnville, Oregon. The Vampires of Venereal is her first play.

Val Blaha, Composer

Val Blaha is a multi-instrumentalist, teacher, songwriter, artist, poet, and playwright. She has released five studio albums, blending her passion for activism and truth-telling with her ear for melodies. Since 2020 she has focused on writing for musical theater, completing the most recent draft of her musical Ruby Sneakers in late 2025, and currently composing the music for The Vampires of Venereal.
